THE JUDGE COMMITTEE
The Judge Panel consists of 90 individuals broken down into three panelts: Competitor, Industry, and Public.
-
Competitor Panel: 40 Members
Each Competitor entered in The Hash Cup is a Judge.
-
Industry Panel: 10 Members
These hand-picked individuals are selected by Brigid Farm for their passion, impact, and commitment to the cannabis and glass communities. A detailed look at this year’s Industry Panel can be found here.
-
Public Panel: 40 Members
These kits are made available to the public for patients and caregivers alike to join the hunt as we search for the best hash in Maine.
SCORING
The Hash Cup scoring is based on Placement Points. Each Judge will cast their vote for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place, the entry with the most totaled points across all Judges wins.
Placement Point System:
1st - 5pts
2nd - 3pts
3rd - 1pt
In addition to Placement Points, Judges are to complete a scoring rubric for each entry. The rubric consists of ten categories, each category is to be judged on a scale from 1-10 for the highest possible score of 100. While the rubric is to act as a grading tool and the scores will have no impact on the competition, in the event of a tie the average rubric score across all judges will determine the winner.
NOTE: The Hash Cup scoring is based on Judge awarded Placement Points only*.
RUBRIC
The scoring rubric is to act as a grading tool when issuing Placement Points, and will only impact the competition in the event of a tie. As such, Judges are to complete the rubric for all entries, giving each category a score of 1-10 for a total possible score of 100, with 1 being the lowest score and 10 being the highest. Non-integers are acceptable (i.e 8.7, 9.5, etc.).
